Upon arrival, Officer Apple ton encountered Tia Herrod and her partner, Tony Edgell, who had gone to the property to celebrate Tia’s birthday and check on their newly constructed home. According to Tia Herrod, while they were in the front yard, they heard an odd scraping noise emanating from the back. Investigating further, they spotted a man, later identified as Brian Giv ens, behind the house with a shovel, standing amidst freshly dug soil.
