B. Odilee Lee, 86, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021, in Mount Hope, Kansas. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 6 th , in the Holdenville Cemetery, Holdenville, Oklahoma.

She was born on August 27, 1934, to Goldman and Opal (Balentine) Ramsey. She graduated from High School in Sasaskwa, Oklahoma, in 1952, and married Thomas Lawton Branscum that same year. They lived in Pampa and Perryton, Texas. Lawton managed a trucking company and Odilee worked with him as a dispatcher. He preceded her in death March of 1967.

Odilee moved back to Sasaskwa after Lawton’s death and worked at the Holdenville Newspaper as a secretary. She also went to cosmetology school in 1967-1968. She married James Lee in November 1972. James was a butcher at Burrton IGA, and Odilee worked with him in the butcher shop. She also had a Beauty Shop in her home where she worked part-time. James preceded her in death in October 2001.

Odilee never met a stranger and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved her family, dancing, Elvis, her cats, and enjoyed camping and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Goldman and Opal Ramsey; first husband, Lawton Branscum; second husband, James Lee; sister, Naomi Douglas; brother, Russell Ramsey; infant daughter, Angela; stepdaughter, Cindy Barksdale; and stepson, David Lee.

Survivors include a son, Mike (Tammy) Branscum; brother, H.A. Ramsey; stepdaughter, Cathy Anderson; stepson, Ronnie (Evelyn) Lee; grandchildren, Harmony, Matthew, Casie, Chance, Derek, Jeff, Jennifer, Misty, Amber and Tatum; 17 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
