Our sympathies extended to the families of Geraldine Dotson

Geraldine Dotson passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the age of 73 years.

Geraldine was the daughter of Earl and Ollie (Dicketts) Madden, born on April 30, 1948, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. As her family moved around she was brought up in various places, including Holdenville, Wewoka, and California. She made her home for the past thirty years in Wewoka, until recently moving because of failing health to live with her daughter in Calvin.

She enjoyed crochet and needlepoint, playing games on her Tablet, and spending time at the casino. She loved and believed in God. She loved her family, she loved coffee, and she loved relaxing and drinking coffee with them. She especially loved her grandchildren, and they especially loved her. Her family was her everything. She loved them deeply, and she was deeply loved in return.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Dotson; her daughter, Lois Shivers; her parents, Earl and Ollie Madden; and her brother, Earl Ray Madden. She is survived by one

She is survived by one daughter, Loretta Day, of the home; nine grandchildren, Crystal Freeman (Johnny) of Wetumka, Amy Davis (Billy Johnson) of Calvin, Billy McMahan (Kyla Lasko) of Seminole, James Shivers (Tiffany) of Wewoka, Megan Rice (Alec) of Wetumka, Jeffery Dodd of Calvin, Brenna Day of Colorado, Tommy Day of Claremore, and Clay Dodd (Kasey) of Lawton; twenty-seven great-grandchildren, Amanda, Johnny, Johnathan, Joel, Dana, Piper, Alex, Wyatt, Samuel, Wayne, Jasper, Zayden, Xavier, Aly, Naomi, Chloe, Lexis, Allison, Remington, Paisley, Hayden, Scarlett, Nellie, Madi, Mia, Alex, and Gwendolyn; two great-great-grandsons, Charlie and Liam; two brothers, Barry Madden of Wewoka, and Jerry Madden (Tesa) of Bakersfield, California; one sister, Patricia Borcowitz (Frank) of Wisconsin; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 14 th , 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and Geraldine was laid to rest at Lamar Cemetery, with Jesse Alexander officiating. Pallbearers were Johnny Freeman, James Shivers Jr, Billy McMahan, Jeffery Dodd, Billy Johnson, and Alec Rice. Honorary pallbearers were Barry Madden and Jerry Madden. www.fisherfh.net
