The next Clearview town meeting is scheduled for September 14th at 10:00 a.m. at the Main Street Community Center on Main Street. All are welcome to attend. It was great to see the Golden and Lucas families in Clearview for their family reunions during the Labor Day weekend. Please continue your prayers for those on our sick list: Clifford Normore, Billy Walker, L.C. and Irene Carson, Sharon Patton, Dorothy Loggins, Marjorie Plunkett, Ethelene Scott, Kurrilue Johnson, Earnest Hamilton, and Johnny West.

The Beginning - Golden Family Reunion

It all started when Dollie Golden married Caleb Sims on March 20, 1921. Caleb promised Dollie’s mother Dollie Golden that he would bring his new bride back to visit her every year on her birthdate of September 1st. He kept his promise. The return trip eventually evolved into a family reunion of Goldens coming together to celebrate Dollie’s return which was held at Grandma Golden’s country home with homemade ice cream and cake.

Chieftains @ Quinton, A Dubtown Victory!

by T.J. Morrison Thursday September 1st the Wetumka Chieftains traveled to Quinton to the season opener of the 2022 season. A wet and not ideal conditions for a football game but the Chieftains persevered and came out ahead with a 26-12 victory over the Savages.
