STUART ELEMENTARY STUDENT’S ESSAY HEADED TO STATE CONTEST—Genna Haney, a 6th grader at Stuart Elementary, was recently named the Area 5 winner of the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts Essay Contest. She had placed 1st in the Hughes County Conservation District this fall. She now qualifies for the State Contest in February. Genna is the daughter of Gerald and Ronna Haney. Presenting the award to Genna Haney is Cindy Lee, HCCD Representative.
Read moreSTUART PUBLIC SCHOOL’S CHAPTER OF NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY recently collected over 150 Christmas cards which were presented to veterans at local nursing homes, senior centers, and Veteran›s Homes. These cards were hand-made by the elementary students and the Junior High & High School Technology classes also created computer-generated cards. Presenting a citation in recognition of continuous support of veterans is Oklahoma House District 18 Representative David Smith. Receiving the certificate is High School Technology Teacher, Wes Lindley.

The three officers were welcomed into their new roles at a luncheon on Oct. 11 with President Lana Reynolds.
