Read moreThe Red Hat Ladies had a beautiful day for our outing at Boom-a- Rang in Holdenville. We had 12 ladies to turn out for Valentine’s Day plus Joyce Yates’ granddaughter, Lainee Yates. The Wetumka ladies, Linda Tyler, Wanda Shaw and Wanda Price were our hostesses for the day. They had purple tablecloths with red hearts and streamers with roses scattered all along the table. There were also painted wooden blocks with “I love you” sayings on them, placed in front of the place settings.

African American History Month is recognized int eh United State States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The month of February was selected to coincide with the birth dates of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass.

The suspect was captured in a home in Clearview under the hands of an alert citizen who held him captive until law enforcements were to arrive and arrest him. The town is grateful that no others were hurt during this episode. Please continue to pray for the town and citizens that we live in peace.
