Read moreOn Sunday, March 12 at 7 a.m. the Wetumka Senior Class of 2023 boarded a bus and headed for Branson, MO for their Senior class trip. It was the first time in a long time that a class was able to take an overnight adventure, but we have to say, this is an exceptional class. They worked very hard to make it happen and they deserved it. Most of the class participated along with class sponsors Ashley Ray and Amber Butler, and chaperones Donnie and Lisa Williamson, Devonna Delagarza, Donnie Ray, and Coach Keith Gunter, who was also the bus driver, and his wife Deanna.

Read moreWetumka Farmers Market is now open 7 days a week. There is no charge for vendors to set up a booth. Seasonal gardening and produce items are welcomed. Also, homemade food, arts & craft are also welcomed at the market. The only thing the city asks is that you clean your area when you leave. The city hopes that this will be a benefit to many of the local residents who can buy their fruits and vegetable grown locally which will be much more fresh and help support those in the local community.
