Moss student unharmed in gun incident

Law enforcement offi cials responded to a call at Moss school Tuesday, January 11. A student allegedly brought a loaded handgun to the school. While in the bathroom with other students, the student allegedly pointed the handgun at another student and pulled the trigger. The handgun did not fi re. The other students in the bathroom quickly notifi ed others to the incident and the proper authorities were called. All students and faculty are safe and unharmed. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. CELEBRATION

We invite to an amazing event in honor of MLK Day on January 17 in Clearview. Canaan Bowie, grandson of the late Willie and Farrie Zackery of Clearview and other relatives in Clearview, is hosting a symposium through his new TV show “Celebrity Thrift Store” (C.T.S.) featured on TV platforms such as Fox, Tubi, & Dame Dash Studios. The symposium will include a panel discussion of members of the Clearview discussing topics relative to pass and current topics of the town. Mt. Zion Baptist Church

Pastor Felix A. Jones, Sr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Pastor Henry Adams of Oklahoma City rented the Clearview Gym at 112 West Douglas Ave in Clearview to conduct their Mt Zion Baptist Church services twice a month on the 2 and 4 Sundays of each month beginning January 9, 2022. Pastor Jones will conduct services on the 2 Sunday beginning with Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Adams will repeat the schedule on the 4 Sunday. “Come get a Clearview of what God can do for you.” You may reach Pastor Felix Jones Sr. at 918-955-4991 for any questions.

Remember those who are ill and need of our prayers during this New Year: Billy Walker continues to live with his daughter Tasha and is continues to improve. L. C. Carson and Sharon Patton is slowly improving at home. Magdalene Bruton had a heart attack and is now back in the hospital in Edmond. Dorothy Loggins Shambra, and Bobby Joe Forshee are in rehab centers and doing much better. Marjorie Plunkett and Kurrilue Johnson are doing well at home. Clearview is planning two major events, a Martin Luther King Jr. celebration, and a Black History Month Celebration.
