Judy Anne Stafford

Judy Anne Stafford was born July 7, 1947 in Arch, Oklahoma to Josh Goddard and Lennie Goddard and passed from this life December 16, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74.

Judy graduated from Haileyville, Oklahoma. She earned a master’s degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She was a teacher, a school counselor, and a Licensed Professional Counselor. She worked in Boley, Moss, and served other nearby communities as well. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wetumka, where she was a song leader, taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and participated in Awanas.

In addition to her professional accomplishments and dedication to her church, Judy also enjoyed quilting, cooking, sewing, gardening, canning.

Judy is predeceased by her parents, Josh Goddard and Lennie Goddard.

Judy is survived by her husband, Claude Stafford of the home; her sister, Shirley Hancock, of Battle Creek, Michigan; her uncle, Walter Goddard, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; by her children, Lanette Hernandez, of Del Rio, Texas, Anne Killebrew, of McAlester, Oklahoma, Julie Scribner, of Wetumka, Oklahoma; by her grandchildren: Brian, Miguel, and Elizabeth Velazquez, Joe Paxton, Madelyn Scribner, and Justin, Endrea, Kathryn, Cecil, David Ashur, and Joslin Killebrew Judy is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends.

Visitation for Judy Anne Stafford was held Friday, December 18, 2020 from 9:00am until 8:00pm at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home in Wetumka. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Wetumka on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 10:00am. Rev. Claude Butler and Rev. Steve Little officiated. Interment followed at Blanco Cemetery in Blanco, Oklahoma, under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home.
