By John Bill Martin Staff Writer With some inspiration from Solomon, who used Scripture to caution young people to not get too proud of their youth because old age is just around the corner, we have composed an alphabet for senior citizens, a group to which many of us belong.

A Senior Citizens LamentThought I’d let my doctor check me, cause I didn’t feel quite right. All those aches and pains annoyed me, and I couldn’t seep at night. He could find no real disorder, but he wouldn’t let it rest. What with Medicare and Blue Cross, it wouldn’t hurt to do some tests!

Don’t kid yourself. It’s not just criminals attempting to escape punishment. It’s not just a teenager who missed curfew and is coming up with excuses. Not just the employee who walks in the door an hour late, full of ‘reasons.
