COUNTRY COMMENTS Thanksgiving Time As friends and families gather at this time of Thanksgiving, we should remember the blessings that God has bestowed on us and our nation. Sometime, between the carving of the turkey and the last football game, we should pause and truly give thanks to our Lord.

Like so many other things Sunday has changed dramatically over the years. As a youngster, after church we would go home for lunch and spend the afternoon visiting or napping. No work was done on Sunday unless it was an emergency and there was no shopping.
