Traci Manuel, Oklahoma's 2023 Teacher of the Year, heard about the Oklahoma African American Educators Hall of Fame, Inc. located in Clearview, Oklahoma and that Clearview was one of the original all-Black towns of Oklahoma and that she wanted to visit.

"Black Towns Revival ," held part of it's summit in Clearview on Sunday, November12 th . They held their afternoon sessions in the OAAE HOF building. Those in attendance came from several states and communities in Oklahoma.

David Frank of Thloptholocco Tribal Town and Chief Peace Eagle of Corte Madera, California visited in Clearview on Tuesday.Chief Peace Eagle recently purchased property north of Highway 62 on Clearview and is mowing to the area.

In this week’s Hughes  County  Com missioners Meeting, County  Commission - er  Chair  Coal  Dilday  addressed concerns raised  by  the  Oklaho ma State Fire Marshal regarding the status of the Hughes County  Jail.
