On April 25 the Wetumka Hyechka Music Club hosted Lisa Peel’s 15 th Annual Piano Recital. It was held at the First Methodist Church in Wetumka. Over 50 guests, family members and friends enjoyed the musicians as they introduced themselves and performed their piano selections.

Dr. Donnie Nero current sits on the Okfuskee County Conservation Board as an Associate Director. On Monday and Tuesday, April 18, 19, 2022, he attended the OACD Conservation Leadership Class held at the Wyndham Grand Downtown in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

In 1910 or 1911, the town government was setup by incorporation. Precincts and Wards were established. The town’s people elected a mayor, a police officer, and a Justice of the Peace. At some point, the town lost its incorporation.

The following story is in a collection of stories written by Dr. James Morse about the events surrounding his life while growing up in Calvin. Dr. Morse is a retired physician, who has worked as an Army doctor, a medical missionary and a medical school professor.

The Dustin Activities Committee will be participating in the “Great American Clean Up” on April 30, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Potluck Luncheon to follow. The first 10 volunteers will receive a free T-shirt. Gloves and safety vest will be provided for all volunteers by ODOT.
