Ada, OK, 3/11/22– Juniors Geralyn Haney from Stuart High School, Faith Stout from Ada High School and Ava Bolin from Ada High School have been chosen as delegates to the annual Washington D.C.

Mrs. Amelia Louise Swain Alford was born in Clearview, Oklahoma on November 30. 1923 to Lloyd V. and Rosie Swain. Mrs. Alford attended Clearview Elementary School and graduated from Clearview High School.

When someone claiming to be an official with the “Oklahoma Marijuana Board” showed up at a Hughes County grow operation demanding payment for a code violation along side what appeared to be other Oklahoma law enforcement agents, something didn’t seem right.

The Hughes County OHCE Atwood Club was awarded the traveling trophy at this year’s district OHCE meeting for traveling with the biggest percentage of members the farthest distance. This year’s meeting was held at the Atoka Convention Center.

Several years ago, I had to make a trip back to the country of Panama. I had several agendas for this trip. One was to take my wife on a mini-vacation, and another was to reconnect with some of our contacts. I especially wanted to go back into the rain forest to the village of San Antonio.
