This year’s parade will be held on Saturday, December 11, at 5:45 pm on Wetumka’s Main Street. Immediately following the parade, a drawing will be held. Ten bikes will be given away for children ages 3rd - 6th grade. Signups for the giveaway will begin at 5:15 pm and you must be present to win.

The Hughes County Health Department announces the re-appointment ofDonna Dyer to the Hughes County Board of Health. Her new term began July 1, 2021 and will expire June 30, 2025.

Jacob Alan Baca died on November 15, 2021 from complications from surgery. He was 39 years old and leaves behind two sons, Christian Baca, age 16, and Scott Baca, age 13.A savings account has been set up for them at Security State Bank in Holdenville.

November 13, 9 ladies traveled to Cazadores Mexican Restaurant in Seminole. It was not only delicious but I came home with enough leftovers for 2 more meals. I never saw such a huge burrito!
