    Ada FUMC forgives over $3.8 in Medical debt

    Hughes County recieves over $352,000 Ada, Oklahoma – 02/25/2021 – Ada First United Methodist Church (FUMC) purchased and forgave over $3.8 million in medical debt owed by 1,327 individuals in South-Central Oklahoma.

    Moss Reunion cancelled

    For the second straight year there will be no Moss reunion. Hopefully, next year it will return.

    Wetumka water woes continue

    Although water service has been returned to most area homes, some still remain without water. Pressure continues to be very low and the city continues to work on the problem. Along with the water problems there has been a drastic increase in many residents water bills.

    Voter Registration Deadline March 12

    Friday, March 12th, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the April 6th Board of Education General, Statutory Municipal General and Special Election, Hughes County Election Board Secretary Brandy Davis said today.
