Charles and Marlene (Brick) Gann were married on November 23, 1960. Charles was working on a pipeline job in Tipton, Iowa, and met Marlene who was working at a local hardware store. Marlene was 17 years old, and Charles was 21. Marlene said the Oklahoma cowboy with a southern accent fascinated her.

A regular meeting of the Wetumka City Council was held on Monday, November 9, 2020. Council members present were June Fixico, Donna Dyer, Josh Howk, and Richard Roush. Sherry Smith, city manager and Norma Marshall, mayor were also present. The minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
