An emergency City Council meeting was held on Friday, July 31, 2020. Those present were June Fixico, Ward 1; Donna Dyer, Council person at-large; Joanna Hulstine, City Manager; Norma Marshall, Mayor; John Baca, City Attorney; Josh Howk, Ward 3 and Richard Roush, Ward 4.

Living in rural areas requires displaying your homes 911 address. Marilyn Jackson, mayor of Clearview and member of the Clearview Brown Suggas Okfuskee County Home and Community Education group (OHCE) got creative and came up with her own design for displaying her 911 address.

The case of Joe Johnson, Jr. a Seminole Native American convicted of murder in Wewoka in 1977, is one of the first to be taken under consideration for appeal by the Supreme Court following their July 9 decision regarding McGirt v. Oklahoma.

The City of Wetumka will have a roll off Dumpster at the City Barn on Saturday, August 8th for City Clean Up. Hours will be from 8 am to 12 Noon.
