There will be a benefit for Reach In Ministries on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 7:pm. The event will be held at the Christian Way Ministries, 321 S. Woody Guthrie in Okemah. Appearing will be Donna Kilmuray of Ada, Jarrod Vanderslice of Okemah, and The Williamsons from Wetumka.

On July 6th , the descendants of Jack and Grace Johnson of Weleetka, Oklahoma met in Clearview, Oklahoma at the Main Street Community Building for their annual family reunion centered around the 4th of July. Jack and Grace had four children: Maggie, Cinderella, Charlie, and Bellzora.

Several families and friends gathered together along Main Street to battle a shoot-out with who had the biggest and most beautiful firework display. Antonio Barrett claimed the victory, but the decision wasn’t disputed.

On July 13, 2019, The Coltrane Group Black Towns Tour Group visited the Town of Clearview. They were on a three-site visit stopping in Shawnee, Clearview, and Langston. While in Clearview, they visited the Oklahoma African American Educators Hall of Fame, Inc.

Alpheus Grundy rises early every morning to tend the Clearview Community garden. He is 80 plus years old and gets his exercise by working in the early morning in the garden.

We had 8 “Moon” players tonight at the Nazarene Fellowship Hall and was it a barn burner! At table #1 -  Partners were Cindy McDaniel and Mary Wagner; and Sharon Dilday and Ar-jean Williams.   Mary shot the “Moon” and made it! Yea! Cindy shot the Moon twice and made it!  Awesome!
