The community of LAMAR received a $2,190.36 tax disbursement. This was a gain of $1,766.04 compared to the $424.32 they received in sales tax disbursement dollars last month. Their current tax rate is three percent. Last year Lamar received a sales tax disbursement of $2,780.16.

According to figures reported in the July 11 press release from the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC), six out of ten Hughes County communities reported a tax disbursement decrease. Communities reporting an increase in the July release were Wetumka, Allen, Atwood and Lamar.
