Former Guthrie Educator, Judith Ann Carter Horton, was inducted (posthumously) into the Oklahoma African American Educators, Inc., Hall of Fame on September 28, 2018 at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mrs.Horton was born in Wright City, Missouri on May 17, 1866.

This month serves as a time to honor the achievements and contributions made by women throughout the history of the United States. Throughout March, remember those who paved the way in the struggle for gender equity in the United States, and recognize those who continue to break barriers today.

The Philharmonic Orchestra visited Moss Public Schools on February 26th. They played several popular songs for the students. Some include the Spongebob Squarepants theme song, Star Wars, Happy Birthday, and many more.

OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okla. — Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said the crash happened Thursday around 12:30 a.m. on Old US-62 near Henryetta.Troopers said 24-year-old Austin Peavler and his passenger 32-year-old Dakota Baldwin were pronounced dead on scene.
