Lazarus C. Reed Jr. was born July 15, 1923, in Clearview, Oklahoma as the son of Lazarus C. Reed Sr. and Minnie Alma Bush. Minnie A. Bush died in 1927. Lazarus Jr. was reared in the home of Minnie’s sister, Lula Ellen Bush Mayberry.

Clearview recently reelected trustees Marilyn Jackson and Donnie Nero, as well as treasurer/clerk Shirley Nero, all unopposed. Alvin Lucas has returned home from the hospital in Tulsa and is on dialysis.

STILLWATER, Okla. – Several Hughes County students were honored by the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture with academic scholarship support for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The Oklahoma State Department of Education has released their Oklahoma School Report Cards for the 2023-24 school year. The information comes from testing done in the spring of 2024.
