    What in the heck is a Woke Taliban? These newest protestors now rampaging and terrorizing America. The term “WOKE” refers to “social awareness.” While the name Taliban refers to the Afghanistan’s who fought (with US aid) against the Russians during that conflict.

    At my age I’ve seen a lot of things happen. One of the things happened 40 years ago. Mount St. Helen erupted. Wow! What a mess that was but I would not be surprised if more than a few have no knowledge of it. It really impressed me. Dumping ash all over the USA—even here in Oklahoma.

    Cold Springs

    Allen has a long and colorful history. The earlier Cold Springs name came long ago when settlers heading west passed through this area on their way to (where else?) further out west. Many stopped here because of the cold springs. Some simply stayed a bit, camping on the river.

    Well, Nancy Pelosi gave in—finally—and signed the big Corona Bill that will hopefully give $1,200 in stimulus dollars to each taxpaying adult. The bill was stagnating for two or three days on her desk before she finally yielded to pressure and wrote her name on it.

    Can I catch the Coronavirus? Why not? Seems like the Pope has it. Well, his staff members claim the Pope only has a cold, but he is into his second week of cancelling events. Looks suspicious to me. And the Ayatollah’s top aid just died of it.

    My dentist up at the VA Hospital had me in his chair the other day and started talking about my options on long term care of my teeth. He mentioned the fact that I was nearly 85 and then spent a few moments giving me a long searching look.

    Article on Jackson A few years back Pat and I were in a place called Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Beautiful area, ringed by the Grand Tetons, was so appealing that I didn’t know where to go first. The big Tetons or just stay in town and see the sights.

    Winter is here and with it comes the cold days and times that keep us indoors but also, winter brings us some good days, not so cold or windy. For hunters this may well be the best time of the year.

    Went to get the mail Monday but alas, the day was a holiday. Columbus Day. Or is it already changed to “Indigenous People’s Day”? Yeah, it seems old Chris, like a bunch of others has been demoted. Had the Nina, Pinto and Santa Maria made the trip in vain?
