CALVIN – An altercation involving fans and players broke out during a Class B District boys basketball contest at Calvin Friday night.

KADEE BRIDGER, MOSS HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR is number 24 on the Moss Softball team. She had a batting average of 406 during the fall fast pitch season. 96 at bats, 24 runs, 39 hits. RBI was 29. Kadee and the Moss Lady Pirates made it to the fast pitch state tournament where they earned state runner up.

KIRBY VAN HAREN, MOSS HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR and number 00 on the Moss Softball team, signed to play softball at Seminole State College on November 15th, 2021. She helped take the Moss Lady Pirates Softball team to state this year where they earned State Runner Up.

The Wetumka Chieftains continued their winning ways with victorious over Strothers 68-62 and Midway Chargers 67-60.In the Strothers game Jace McCoy led Wetumka with 24 points followed by Lane Morris with 15 and Alex Allford with 12.

Congratulations to Donavin Evans for earning first place in power lifting in small schools in the 145 lbs. class at the Strother Yellowjacket Powerlifting Meet on January 21, 2022. Donavin is a 10 th grader at Okemah High School.

IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY TOURNAMENT THE WETUMKA CHIEFTAINS CONTINUED THEIR WINNING WAYS WITH AN 82-66 WIN OVER EARLSBORO. Alex Allford and Lane Morris led the locals, each scoring 21 points. Jordan Osborn had 15 and Mason Allford 12.
