A walk-off grand slam led Stuart Lady Hornets Varsity past Roff 5-1 on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Stuart Lady Hornets Varsity batting in the bottom of the eighth when Geralyn Haney hammered on a 0-1 count, scoring four runs.

MAKAI LEE BLADES, son of Marvin and Tanya Blades and first grandchild of Donnie and Shirley Nero, will leave his home in Glenpool on Saturday to enter Pitt State University in Pittsburgh, Kansas on a track scholarship.

PLAYED IN ALL-STAR GAME.....three Graham-Dustin football players were selected to play in the 8-man Oklahoma All-Star game in Miami. The three all-star players pictured above with Coach Corn are Kekoa White #55, Austin Fife #5 and Derrick Jennings #8.

ZACK CLARK, a 2020 graduate of Stuart High School, has signed with the Carl Albert State College Cross Country Team to continue his athletic career. Zack was a four year member of the Stuart Cross Country Team, and in the Fall of 2019 was part of the Class 2A OSSAA State Academic Championship Team.

Stuart’s Conner Clayton has been recognized as one of Prep Hoops top 40 prospects for 2022 graduation year. Conner will be a junior at Stuart when school resumes.

Ali’Jah Bowen is the daughter of Shannon Harjo. Her grandparents are Martha Harjo and the late Leonard Harjo. Her siblings are Lae’Lah & Bubbah Bowen, Jordan Harjo, Athienah & Haeighyah Billy. Shannon has been a member of Basketball, Softball, Cheer, NHS, NASC, FCCLA, Art Club and Key Club.

The Stuart Hornets are aiming high, a State Basketball Championship could be on the horizon. After a tough loss to Kiowa in the Regional tournament at Checotah, the #10 Hornets won the consolation bracket to qualify for State.
