The season for Trick or Treating is upon us and whether you are the giver or the getter, it is sometimes a stressful time for all. But for those of us of a certain age, there is a good time to give up the getting part of it. Top 10 reasons you know you are too old to Trick or Treat when: 10.

In 8+ decades of life, my hard head has managed to absorb some truths that my momma tried to tell me all the time I was growing up. Such as: I’ve learned: That the Lord didn’t do it all in one day. What makes me think I can? I’ve learned: That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

No matter how much things may change, some truths never go out of style. Tell that to the unbelieving younger generation. Examples: Yo u can buy a house, but not a home. Yo u can buy a clock, but not time. You can buy a bed, but not sleep. You can buy a book, but not knowledge.
