I enjoyed every day of the 57 years that I was a teacher, some more than others I might say and none more than the last 15 years when I: 1. Taught three days a week 2. Had gifted and talented kids 3. No discipline problems (sent them back to regular class if they got frisky 4.

As a longtime English teacher (no math or foreign languages for me), I have long had a good “ear” to hear certainly words pronounced correctly. I have spent two years in the South (Nashville, TN) and one year in the FAR East (Philippine Islands) but the rest of my time has been in Oklahoma.

Morris and his wife Esther went to the State Fair every year and every year, Morris would say, “Esther, I sure would like to ride in that helicopter.” And Esther always replied, “I know, Morris, but that helicopter ride is fifty dollars, and fifty dollars is fifty dollars.
