Bernice Marie Neese

Bernice Marie Neese was born January 9, 1930 in Wetumka, Oklahoma.

Bernice passed from this life on March 27, 2023 at the age of 93.

Bernice was raised in the Greasy Creek area near Wetumka and attended a local school.

In 1947, she married her husband Floyd “Dobbin” Neese in Wetumka, where they made their lifelong home.

Bernice worked for several years at the Dairy Queen in Wetumka, and for a short time at the Dollar General Store.

Her hobbies included growing flowers, fishing and camping, especially at Lake Eufaula.

Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd “Dobbin” Neese in 2000; two sons, Lyle Neese in 2012 and Darrell Neese in 1980; granddaughter Darla Demmings in 2014; and her brother Clinton Liles.

Survivors include her daughter Debbie Hafford and husband Tommy of Moore; brother Leon Liles and wife Jerri of Texas; five grandchildren Angela Mueller and husband Jeff, Terry Neese, Tom Hafford and wife Suzannah, Susie Harvey and husband Philip, Chynna Scruggs and husband Karl; sister-in-law Sue Liles; 10 great-grandchildren, several great-greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Viewing and visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held Monday, April 3, at 1:00p.m. at the Spradlin Memorial Chapel, 221 S. Main, Wetumka with Rev. Don Williamson officiating. Interment will be in the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
