Bobby Gene King, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 in Okmulgee, OK at the age of 56. He was born November 1, 1964 in Sacaton, AZ to Wilson Gene King and Wanda (West) King.

He served in the United States National Guard from November 1981 to February of 1991.

He was a member of the Hutchechuppa Indian Baptist Church. He worked for many years as an Arborist. Bob enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his grandchildren. He liked to cook ,try new things, going to the casino, and working on cars, but his most favorite time was fishing and telling his stories of the “big one” that got away

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wilson King. Jr., son, Anthony Thomas, and brother-in-law, Frank Bemore.

Bobby is survived by hs daughter, Tiffanie Simpson and Brandon Barnes of Broken Arrow, son, Selby Simpson of Okmulgee, two grandchildren, Lovella Harjo and Sarv Barnes, sisters; Linda Bemore of Okmulgee, Joann Harjo and Steve Wind of Okmulgee, Dewaynea King of Morris, Lisa Sands and husband Clifford of Okemah, and Christine Kings and Charlie Hicks of Okmulgee, brothers; Allen King and Jimmy King and wife Dana of Weleetka, girlfriend, Eva Proctor of Dustin, and sister-in-law, Karen King of Wilson, Oklahoma, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing was 2-4 PM on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Wake Services held at 7PM on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Hutchechuppa Indian Baptist Church.

Funeral Services were 2:00 PM, Monday, August 23, 2021 at Hutchechuppa Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Charles West, officiating. Interment followed at Hutchechuppa Indian Baptist Church Cemetery. Services under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers were Charles Kelly, Jason Soweka, Charlie Hicks, Dustin Cloud, Al Fisher, and Rodney James. Honorary Pallbearers were Bobby’s nephews and Clifford Sands, Merle Keesee, Phillip Crawford, Steve Wind and Keshon Shelburn.
