Brownie Charles Sneed, 72, a long time Holdenville resident, passed away at his home Saturday, September 12, 2020.

Brownie was born on April 6, 1948, in Hughes County, Oklahoma to Liss Sneed and Beulah Milam Sneed as one of twelve children. He attended and graduated from Holdenville High School.

Brownie married Linda Jenkins on March 7, 1967, in Santa Cruz, California where Brownie had moved for work. The two lived there for a time before returning to Oklahoma. Brownie and Linda maintained a vibrant life together during their 53 years of marriage raising two children and going on to have five grandchildren.

Brownie also started several businesses with his wife, including the Hamburger Den, Sooner Industrial Company, and many others. Even after he retired as a Service Manager for a forklift company in 2003 he later decided to continue his education at Wes Watkins Technology Center in Wetumka, Oklahoma for PC Support and Transaction Technology.

When he wasn’t working Brownie loved music, boating, and fixing computers. He was a musician who played the bass and passed on his love of music to his children and grandchildren.

Brownie is survived by his wife, Linda Sneed of the home; two children, Brad Sneed of Holdenville and Brenda and husband Jacob Todd of Wewoka; five grandchildren, Kaylin Cullum-Lynch, Ricky Cullum, Ryan Sneed, Alyssa Cullum, and Evan Sneed. He is also survived by two brothers, Herbert “Hub” Sneed and John Sneed; four sisters, Lissa Cross, Betty Sneed, Cleta Parks, and Barbara Goodwin. He is also survived by many more nieces, nephews, friends, and family members. He will be greatly missed.

Brownie is preceded in death by his parents Liss and Beulah Sneed; four brothers, Jack Sneed, Dot Sneed, Darrel Sneed, and Orval Sneed; and one sister, Billie Barnes.

Memorial service were 11:00 AM Saturday, September 26th, at the Nazarene Church Fellowship Hall in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Services were under Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville.
