Carolyn Sue Wheeler passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma, on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the age of 78 years. Sue was the daughter of Maude Thomas McCoy and Dazzy Ruth (Davis) McCoy, born on December 2, 1942, in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Her family moved to Dumas, Texas, where Sue graduated from Dumas High School in 1961. She then moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where she met Bobby Reger. In 1962 the two eloped and were married in Gainesville, Texas. They made their home in Fort Worth and were the parents of two daughters, Stacie and Kristie. After a divorce, Sue returned to Holdenville. In 1993, she married Darl Wheeler. They lived in Holdenville for 23 years until Darl passed away in 2016.

Sue was meticulous about everything she did. She was very active in her church, loved yard work, was an excellent seamstress and a great cook. She was a beloved wife, mother, and nanny.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ruth McCoy; her husband, Darl Wheeler; her brother, Harvey McCoy; and an infant sister.

She is survived by her two daughters, Stacie Burgess of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kristie Henry and husband, Chip, of Fort Worth, Texas; two granddaughters, Jill Eager and her husband, Joey, of Sanger, Texas, and Jenae Dukes and husband, Wes, of Decatur, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Carson Dukes, Raegan Dukes, Ellis Eager, and Brynn Eager; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside memorial services will be held at the Lamar Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23 rd . www.fisherfh.net
