Clyde ‘Dinky’ Boyd was born February 1, 1940, to Claude & Betty Boyd in Tatums, Oklahoma, one of their twelve children. He passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on August 28, 2020, at the age of 80 years.

He met and married Roxie Ann. They had four children. They made their home in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was employed by Brooks Construction Company, the City of Holdenville, and Kingsberry Homes. He was an awesome Dad and Husband, and also liked taking care of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He liked Gunsmoke and wrestling. He loved reciting The Lord’s Prayer every night. He was quiet, and he was the sweetest person you could meet. He was loved by all his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude & Betty Boyd; son Terry Lynn; grandchildren Loni Ana Li Barker and Kyle Nicholas Barker; sisters: Victoria, Erma Jean, Mary Francis, and Jo Marie; brothers: Archie, Claude, Lloyd, and J. P. Boyd.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife of 60 years, Roxie Ann; Children: Bridget & Lonnie, Jeffery ‘Doc’, Natalie & Dave; Granddaughter Bridget Marie; Great-grandchildren: Mason, Tyson, and Madison; Sisters: Addie, Lovie, and Ramona, all of Tatums; many other family members and a host of friends.

Graveside services were Saturday, September 5, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Thomastown Cemetery in Sasakwa, with Rev. Keith Hardwick officiating. Pallbearers were Dinky Hurley III, Timothy Abraham, Kenny Moore, Joshua Abraham, Virgil Moore, Shawn Jones, De’Andre Smith, Wellington Dindy, Robert Silva Sr, David Hurley, Savante’ Smith, and Kenneth Spygner. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Smith, Napoleon Moore, Calvin Hurd, Lonnie Barker, Johnny Gordon, and Doc Moore.
