On Wednesday November 25, 2020, David Lee Evans, loving son, brother, and father of one daughter, passed away at the age of 31.

David was born on June 5, 1989 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Teresa Evans and Derek Gibson.

David overcame his own doubts and fears by taking and passing his GED test earning him a diploma and an accomplishment that gave him a boost of confidence and diligent determination to overcome life’s obstacles and he humbly turned his life around by accepting God into his life and enjoyed attending the Sunday service at the First Assembly of God Church in Holdenville Oklahoma. David was proud to be an active member of his community and was thrilled to be an employee of the Seminole Brick Plant. David’s accomplishments will forever be an inspiration to those who love him.

David was an adventurous and free-spirited soul that loved his family, friends, and God. David was also a man of simple pleasures that included just hanging out with friends and family cutting up and laughing. His laugh was contagious, and his goofy lopsided grin turned into a smile big and bright enough to light up a room. He was curious and showed interest in many areas such as cooking, boating, canoeing, fishing, and hiking and many other things that he had yet to discover.

David is preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Lawrence Evans, maternal aunt and uncle, Diana and Lewis Hartzell, and maternal aunt, Kimberly Evans and paternal grandmother Pat. He is survived by mother, Teresa Evans, father Derek Gibson, two brothers, Derek Evans and Brandon Gibson, his daughter Serenity Ann Love Evans, maternal grandmother Faye Evans as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
