Deborah Bridget Cherry passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 65.

Deborah was born January 15, 1956 in Riverside, California to John Phillips and Ruth (Snyder) Wheeler. She graduated from Rubidoux High School. Deborah married Wendell Cherry in Las Vegas November 18, 2006. She was a cashier at Save-A-Lot grocery store. Debbie had a way of making everyone smile and would brighten your day.

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather John “Jack” Wheeler; brothers John Phillips, and Mike Phillips; sisters Ruthanne Kaiwi and Mary Metheney.

She is survived by her husband Wendell Cherry of the home; children Eric Phillips and wife Shauna of Washington, Melissa Farris and husband Jason of Midwest City, Maryanne Gentry of Oklahoma City, and Jason Cherry of Holdenville; grandchildren William, Calis, Cassidy, Aaron, Taelyr, Rayne, Jackson, Lennon, Presley, Jordan, Jalen, Spencer, Winter, and Bristol; brother Charles Phillips; and sister Teresa Fick. Deborah is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 30 th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jason Cherry, Jason Farris, Larry Ford, Mike Mooney, Ken Austin and John Avery. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Evans, Larry Evans, Chuck Phillips, James Anson, William Phillips, Calis Phillips, and Aaron Phillips.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
