Douglas Wayne Pointer 65 years old passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on February 1, 2022.

He was born to parents Juanita (Brewer) and Dallas Pointer, on May 17, 1956. Doug graduated from Holdenville High School and immediately joined the Army where he was stationed in Germany for a short time. Doug worked in the Oil and Gas industry for many years, was a skilled Auto Mechanic, and Wood-worker. He enjoyed 80’s hair bands, mullets, strumming the guitar, fi shing, working in the yard and being at the lake.

Doug was predeceased in death by his parents, Juanita and Dallas Pointer, brother John Ed, sisters Beverly, Cathy, and Pamela Youngblood.

Survivors are son; Derrick Pointer and wife, Amy, of Holdenville Oklahoma; daughter; Kelli Casteel and husband, Jim, of Windsor, Colorado; son Dylan Pointer and wife, Noel of Bucksport Maine; daughter; Crystal Sandy and fi ancé, Nicholas Bullington of Holdenville Oklahoma; daughter; Heather Morris and husband, Matt of Holdenville Oklahoma; longtime friend, ex-wife, and companion; Anita Chancellor-Pointer. Doug was “Poppy” to a host of amazing grandchildren that he loved dearly.

Doug was a private person and never liked being the center of attention. The family respects the importance of social distancing during this time and will not be holding a service. The family request that, in lieu of fl owers, please keep our family in your thoughts.
