Edmond Anthony Yahola

Edmond Anthony ‘Tiny’ Yahola passed away in Weleetka, Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the age of 57 years.

Anthony was the son of Houston and Christine (Cochran) Yahola, born on April 5, 1964, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was brought up in Holdenville and attended both Holdenville schools and Sequoyah schools in Tahlequah. He worked for Dean’s Casing Service, and in landscaping. He was a very talented artist and sold many original paintings. He attended First Indian Baptist Church in Holdenville, and painted various scenes for the church, including their nativity scene backdrop. Artwork was one of his favorite things, along with photography and flower gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Christine Yahola; his brother, David Yahola, and sister, Michelle McCoy.

He is survived by five children: Allison Yahola of Marietta, Ameree Yahola of Seminole, Tyranie Yahola, also of Seminole, Christine Yahola, and David Yahola, both of Holdenville; two grandchildren, Jaxon Hatcher and Payton Hatcher, both of Marietta; two sisters, Bonnie Phillips of Holdenville and Georgia Guyton of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, John Yahola of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be today, Thursday, March 3, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and Anthony will be laid to rest at Yahola Family Cemetery west of Holdenville. Rev. Maurice Morgan is the officiating minister.

Viewing at the funeral home was held from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Tuesday, March 1, and 10:00am to 8:00pm on Wednesday, March 2.
