Helen Ruth Fisk passes away

On Wednesday, November 30, 2022 Helen Ruth Fisk at the age of 76, passed away at Colonial Park Nursing Home, Okemah, Ok.

Helen was born on April 29, 1946 and was the daughter of Lewis ‘Gus’ Tyler and Alta ‘Ruth’ (Harvey) Tyler. Helen was married to James Earl Fisk on February 12, 1988 and they enjoyed many happy years together. Helen was a loyal and faithful wife to James and they traveled for many years as James worked as a pipeline welder. During her years in the work force, she worked for a collection agency as a collector.

Helen was a fierce and loyal friend and would go to bat for you when or if you needed her to. She was a lover of genealogy and spent many hours researching family history, loving the search for lost details. She loved fishing and good conver sation and could hold her own discussing politics and current events. Helen enjoyed a good laugh and always greeted you with a smile.

Helen is survived by her husband of 34 years, James Earl Fisk, special nephew, Blake Lewis Bagwell of Amarillo, Texas. Brothers-in-law Harold W. Fisk, Wetumka, Ok, Darrell K. Fisk and wife Nancy, Tulsa, Ok and a host of grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

James would like to thank the many nurses, aides and hospice workers that cared for Helen in her last days.

Final arrangements were handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Home. There will be no services.
