Jake Bruner was born on October 25, 1932 to his father, Bunnie Bruner, and his mother, Emma Bruner, and he passed away from this life on November 5, 2021. Jake Bruner was born and raised in Lamar, Oklahoma.

J a k e spent most of his working years as a tool and die maker for Boeing Aircraft. After that he worked as a trucker. In the 1950’s he married his wife, Elizabeth Bruner, and over the course of his life, Jake Bruner had six sons and three daughters.

In his free time, Jake took his sons and daughters out to Harry Street Park and they would play basketball and volleyball. Jake also had bowling as a hobby.

Jake Bruner was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Bruner; his sons, Jacob Bruner, Terry Albert Bruner, John Daniel Bruner; and daughter, Regina Kay Williams.

Survivors include his daughters, Claudette Yost and Katherine Dreadfulwater; and his sons, Paul Bruner, Jeff Bruner, and Robert Bruner.

A wake service will be held on Friday, November 12 at 7:00pm at Middle Creek #1 Indian Baptist Church in Lamar, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home on Saturday November 13 at 1:00pm at Middle Creek #1 Indian Baptist Church in Lamar, Oklahoma. Rev. Mark Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Carson Cemetery in Lamar, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Lopez, Donald Dreadfulwater, Wade Gambler, and Kelley Bruner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Victor Furr, Shane Bruner, James Bruner, Jeremy Bruner, Matt Smith, and Jacob Dreadfulwater.
