Our Sympathy to the family of....

On April 20, 2024, James Alva Bundy heard the words well done good and faithful servant.

He was surrounded by his daughters.

James (Jim to most) was born May 8,1935 to Alva and Bertha Bundy in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was raised on a farm in Holdenville with his brother and sisters.

They made many great memories and we all loved to hear their stories

Jim answered the call to preach at age 16. He pastored 8 churches in Arkan - sas and Missouri from 1957-2004. He loved being a pastor and loving and serving his congregations. Every church he pastored he considered his family.

Jim loved his family and was the beloved husband of Frances, the father of Dorcas and Tabitha, and the grandfather of Caleb and Erin, and the great grandfather of James, Robert, John and Brooklyn.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Frances; his parents Alva and Ber - tha Bundy; his sister Betty McCollum.

He is survived by his 2 daughters: Tabitha of the home (Branson, Missouri); Dorcas and Doug Duvall (Branson, Missouri); 2 grandchil - dren Caleb and Susan Duvall (Branson, Mis - souri); Erin and Bobby Possage (New Blaine, Arkansas); 4 great grandchildren James Duvall, Robert Pos - sage, John Duvall and Brooklyn Possage; one brother Harold Bundy (Perkins, Oklahoma ) ; one sister Darlene Pohlman (Lincoln, Nebras - ka); many nephews, nieces and many, m a n y friends.

Pall- bearers - Bobby Pos - sage, Jeff Thomas, Bill McCollum, Butch Han - nah, Robert Hannah, Kerry Philamlee Honorary Pallbear - ers- Loyd Thomas, Dale Thomas, Dewrell Thompson, Stan Wild - man, Bobby New.

The service will be on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Friend - ship Free Will Baptist Church in Hopewell, Arkansas. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. and the service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be at South Crossroads Cemetery in Hopewell, Arkansas.
