Janice Joy Ramsey, 85, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Janice was born on September 26, 1937 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Jesse James and Mazie Marie (Campbell) Sanders.

She graduated from Holdenville High School in 1955. In 1958, Janice married James A. Ramsey. They were happily married for thirty-four years, before he preceded her in death on November 24, 1992. Janice was a devoted and loving wife and home-maker. In pursuit of her compassion for others she achieved her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate and served as a nurse in family practice in Independence, Missouri. She was involved in the Eufaula Art Guild, enjoyed painting and crafts, especially making dolls and teddy bears.

Survivors include her children: Jeff Ramsey [Cheryl], of Kaneohe, Hawaii (and children Katherine, James and Ellen), Shari Wyly of Shawnee, Kansas (and children Graham and Samuel), and Eric Ramsey [Selinda] of Blue Springs, Missouri (and children Melissa, David [Michelle] and Jason); three great-grand children, Leena, Caden and Declan. Janice was also a loving aunt to nieces and nephews throughout the country. Janice most recently was loved and cherished by many at her home, The Parkway in Blue Springs, Missouri. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, husband James and siblings: LeRoy, Claudine, Bobbie, Peggy, James Dewey (J.D.), Donnie and Leon. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., immediately followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12th, at the Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home in Eufaula, Oklahoma.
