Jerry Victor King

Jerry Victor King passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the age of 83 years.
Jerry is the son of George & Bessie (Cooley) King, born on November 25, 1941 in Osage, Oklahoma. He was a “Railroad Brat” and grew up in various parts of the Midwest following his father’s railroad occupation. The family lived in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Jerry graduated Siloam Springs High School in Arkansas with the Class of 1959, and then joined the U.S. Army and served for a few years. In his younger years he worked several years for Kinney Shoes, and served as a volunteer fireman. He later became an auditor in the hotel industry, where he met Norma Jean Peace. Jerry & Norma were married on October 31, 1974, in Reno, Nevada. Jerry worked various seasonal jobs in northern California while attending the University of California at Chico ‘Chico State’, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1994. He worked a while for a law firm in Dallas and then for Intellectual Properties Law Firm in Sacramento, where the focus was patents and trademarks. In his spare time he enjoyed sporting events, especial- ly football, and fly fishing. He loved
travel, has been on fourteen cruises to various locations, and to almost every national park in the U.S. He was an avid fan of big band music, particularly the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and he absolutely loved to dance.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George & Bes- sie King; five siblings: Ray mond, Esther, Bill, Virginia, and Jim.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Norma King, of the home; two sons, Patrick King and Sean King; three grandsons: Liam, Austin, and Daniel; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00am at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel with Rev. Earl Scroggins of- ficiating.
