Jim passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones on September 24, 2023 at the age of 77 years.

Jim was born to Homer Clell Lankford and Ima Lee (Morris) Lankford in Holdenville. He grew up around the Hickory Grove area, graduating from Moss School. He went on to college at Wilbur- ton and finished

out at OSU with a bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science and a mas- ter's in Education, while also getting his contractor license for plumbing and gas fitters

and then received his CDL license.

Jim was a man of many trades – playing a piano and guitar, teaching at Ponca City Pioneer Vo-Tech, then moving to Mid Del Vo-Tech and running his plumbing business on the side.

Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Toni Lankford, mother-in-law Vera Chapman, niece Regina Dawn Stubblefield.

Jim is survived by his wife Roberta Brumley Lankford, son Jimmy DeWayne Lankford and wife Danielle of McLoud, mother, Ima Lee (Morris) Lankford, Holdenville, brother, Bill Lankford and wife Cathy, Holdenville, sister, Betty Miller, Holdenville, grandson Brayden Cole Lankford and Karley English, Har rah, Blayne Lankford and wife Cheynne of McLoud, granddaughters, Angela Bayley Rackley and husband Tommy, Shawnee, Brynna Cayde Lankford, McLoud. Great-grandchildren Kelbie Reign Lankford, Harrah, Braxton and carson Lankford, McLoud, Remington Rackley, Shawnee, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Private family service was held under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.
