Johnnie Lee Earls

Johnnie Lee Earls was born March 3, 1953 in Ludlow, OK to Luellen Virginia Earls and passed from this life March 30, 2022 at his home in Dustin at the age of 69. Johnnie was raised and attended school primarily in the Wilburton/Clayton area, but his family moved frequently working in the agriculture industry.

As a young man he went to work for Gem Stone Rock Quarry in Wister where he remained several years. It was a job he dearly loved. He later worked for the Tyson Company in Heavener. He married Betty Lou Adams in Dustin on January 5,2000 and they made Dustin their lifelong home.

Johnnie loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. He was also a music fan and enjoyed playing guitar.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Shirley Earls.

Survivors include: his wife Betty of the home; 2 sons, John Dale Earls and Joe Earls and wife Christina; 2 grandchildren, Jackson and Addison Earls; and a cousin Marshall Earls, Jr., all of Dustin; along with other relatives and many friends.

Graveside rites were held Tuesday, April 5, at 1:00 p.m. at the Cupco Cemetery near Clayton with Rev. Randy Zinn officiating. Pallbearers were Travis Rivera, Johnny Jack, John Dale Earls, Joe Earls, Marshall Earls, Jr., and Jason Allen, Jr.

Interment followed under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
