Jon Milton Winn

Jon Milton Winn was born September 29, 1940 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Bonnie Winn and Lily (Moss) Winn. He passed from this life on October 11, 2021 at his home in Weleetka at the age of 81.

Jon was raised in Weleetka and attended Weleetka schools. He attended Okmulgee vo-tech where he learned carpentry. He began a career in carpentry afterward, a path which he followed all his life. He contracted to work on houses all across the country and sometimes contracted with Creek Nation housing.

Jon married Sandra Mayes on January 17, 1964 and he made Weleetka his life-long home.

Jon enjoyed hunting, fishing, as well as OU sports--especially football, basketball, and softball. He was a member of the Assembly of God and attended church in Weleetka.

Jon is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, five sisters, and his daughter Mindy, who passed in 2019.

Jon is survived by his wife, Sandra, of the home; by three children: Gerry (Kim) Winn of Weleetka, Brenda (Ronnie) Davis of Clarita, and Jonathan Winn of Weleetka; by one brother, Bill Winn; and one sister-in-law Annetta Winn, of Weleetka; by five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Graveside funeral services for Jon Winn will be held on Thursday, October 14 at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka, Oklahoma. Rev. Robert Bray will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 13 from 10:00am until 8:00pm at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Weleetka.
