Funeral Services for Josie Joseph Hill were held Monday, December 14, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church in Dustin, Oklahoma. Interment followed at the Jackson Family Cemetery in Vernon, Oklahoma.

Josie Joseph Hill was born May 17,1954 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Jack Issac Hill and Mary Proctor Hill. He passed from this life on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 66.

Josie grew up in Hanna, Oklahoma for most of his childhood and graduated from Sulphur School for the deaf. He was a member of the Trenton Baptist Church. Josie loved to draw and color, he enjoyed playing basketball, beading key chains and spending lots of time with his family. He will be missed so much.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers, Benjamin Hill, Roman Hill, Jacob Hill, Dave “Sonny” Hill, Eunice Hill, Chapman Hill, and Dewey Hill, grandparents, Dave & Lisbee Pigeon Hill, and Hully & Melindia Proctor.

Survivors include his brother Billy Hill of Henryetta, Ok. 3 sisters, Lillie Hill of Checotah, Ok., Maxine Hill of Weleetka, Ok. and Amy Hill of Okemah, Ok. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews and great nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Yargee, Speedy Harley, and Oscar Harjo.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Wetumka, Oklahoma and officiated by Major James McHenry and Charles McHenry.

All those who attend the service will be required to wear a mask.
