Kevin Jay Worden passes away

Kevin Jay Worden passed away at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the age of 62 years.

Kevin was the son of William Henry ‘Bill’ Worden & Darlene (Harden) Worden, born on July 12, 1959, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Fort Worth, Texas and Lindsay, Oklahoma, where he graduated with the class of 1977. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1983 and served for several years, during both Desert Storm and Desert Shield, and for three years stationed in England. Following military service, he lived in Ada, Oklahoma and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from East Central University. He taught acting and speech classes for several years at Seminole State College. He served as Assistant Pastor at First Christian Church in Holdenville where his father was Pastor, and later became Pastor after his father’s death. He was a talented actor, and loved playing numerous venues in various roles, including “that Scottish play” as he referred to “Macbeth”. He very much enjoyed watching movies with the primary purpose of critiquing, playing his guitar and singing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Darlene Worden, and two brothers, Bill Worden and Gerry Worden.

He is survived by four children: Carly McCaslin (Jason) of Tulsa, Scott McMillan (Staci) of Ardmore, Lauren McMillan of Memphis TN, and Alexandria ‘Allie’ Worden of Tulsa; five grandchildren: Kaden McMillan, Elizabeth McMillan, Jackson McCaslin, Kate McCaslin, and Maddox McMillan; brother Jim Worden (Cynthia) of Plano TX, and sister Linda Walter (Warren) of Arlington TX; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Private family services will be held.
