In Loving Remembrance of Jean Marie (Erma Jean) Franklin

Franklin in Clearview, Oklahoma. She attended Clearview High School through 1959. She graduated from Hollis High School, Hollis, Oklahoma in 1960. She acted as nanny for several families in Hollis, Oklahoma. She relocated with one of those families to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she became a licensed beautician. Some of her nieces and nephews will recall her famous early morning newspaper routes. She joined the navy in the late 1960s, retiring after more than 25 years. She lived in Gresham, Multnomah County. Oregon for the past 25 years. She passed away while in in Gresham. She was not a parent, but she was loved and deeply respected by her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by parents: James and Oneta Franklin, nephews: David Franklin and Chuck Smith; great niece: Latiana Franklin; three sisters-in-law; Elnetta Franklin, Loretta Franklin, and Mar Franklin; brother-in-law: Mack McCrommon: paternal grandparents: William and Susannah Franklin; maternal grandparents: Sam Willie and Mariah Jane Franklin: three paternal aunts: Elnora Hawkins, Elzora Williams, and Lenora Manuels; four maternal aunts: Dora Robertson, Jessie Mae Rucker, Ester Bell Williams, and Pauline Rice; nine maternal uncles: Theodore Franklin, Rutherford Franklin, Edward Franklin, Columbus Franklin, Sylvester Franklin, Leroy Franklin, John Robertson, Basil Robertson, and Hudie Hoskins.

She is survived by four brothers: Cornelius Franklin, James Franklin, Jr. Dale Franklin, and Gary Franklin; four sisters: Mae McCrimmon, Juanita Johnson: half-sisters: Peggy Bradford and Susie Price. Unknow status: half-brother Shadrack Franklin and half-sister Carsena Franklin and one uncle Jack Franklin.

Memorial Services and interment were held January 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Clearview Cemetery with U. S. Navy Military Honors.
