Winfred Matthew “Boog” Loggins was born September 1, 1966 in Oklahoma City to Curtis Johnie “Bo” Loggins and Mable Jean (Berry) Loggins and passed from this life January 27, 2021 at his home near Yeager at the age of 54.

Boog was raised in the Wetumka and Weleetka area. He attended school at Wetumka through the sixth grade and completed his formal schooling at Weleetka. As a young man he began a career working in the oil fields, eventually becoming an operator.

On April 24, 1991 he married Patricia Jo Brooks in Ada. They made Ada their home some twenty years before relocating to Weleetka. About a year ago they moved to the Yeager community.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and riding down back roads. More recently he liked working with his horse.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents and his mother-in-law and father in-law.

Survivors include his wife Patricia of the home; seven children, Waylon Neal and wife Sarah of Weleetka, Calvin Neal and fiancé Jada Dennis of Holdenville, Eric Posey of Texas, Dereck Posey of El Reno, Steven Neal and wife Amanda of Ada, Jessica Drake and husband Ivan of Weleetka and Toby Neal and wife Leslie of Konawa; his mother Mable Loggins of Weleetka; four siblings, Curtis Loggins of Weleetka, Johnie Loggins and wife Carla of Ada, Kevin Loggins of Weleetka and Gisela Loggins-Williams and husband Erek of Wewoka; along with 26 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Viewing and visitation was held at the Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home in Wetumka on Tuesday, February 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services were Wednesday, February 3, at 1:00 p.m. at the Spradlin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wilkie Berry officiating.
