Edith Jolene Lambert passed away at her home in Holdenville on Sunday morning, July 10, 2022, at the age of 81 years. Edith was born on July 20, 1940, in Dustin, Oklahoma to her parents, Basil and Clara (Padgett) Woods. She attended school in Dustin and Hanna and a short time in California.

California is where she met her husband, Carl Lambert, whom she spent the last 62 years with. They returned to Oklahoma in 1966 where together they raised their four children. Edith was a vibrant, feisty, hardworking woman who loved to read, sew, garden, and work with her husband in running the ranch they would eventually own in Holdenville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Clara Woods; two brothers, Earl (Barney) Woods, and Jimmy Woods; two sisters, Maxine Martin and Linda Coelho; and one infant grandson, Russell Carl Lambert.

Edith is survived by her husband, Carl Lambert of the home; daughters Judy Mason and husband Jack of Oklahoma City, Althea Shoestock of Galveston, Texas, and Darla May and husband Gary of Holdenville; one son, Russell Lambert of Norman; grandchildren, Kimberly, Judina, Jacqueline, Jillian, Michael Da’Re, Michael John, Mathew, Cesaley, Amber, Zachary, Trevor, Triston, Danielle, Dustin, and Thomas, along with 18 great grandchildren; and one brother, Virgil (Butch) Woods and wife Karen of Morristown, Arizona.

Viewing will be 9:00 AM-7:00 PM Thursday, July 14 th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, July 15 th , at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Garrett Napier officiating. Interment will follow at the Yeager Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Zachary Bolding, Trevor Bolding, Zachary Collins, Michael Dixon, and Carl Lambert.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
