Nehemiah Jax Oliver McCoy

Nehemiah Jax Oliver McCoy was born July 12, 2009 in Ada Oklahoma to Jacky and Leslie McCoy.

Nehemiah was a constant comfort to all who ever even knew of him. He was a joy to all his family every day of his life. Nehemiah loved others. That

is his defining

characteristic. He was very kind and generous and always befriended the overlooked.

Nehemiah was a fun child. He had a laugh and smile that lit up the room. He enjoyed teasing his grandpa and uncle and really anyone around. He adored his three little sisters. He was always “eating their toes” or playing tickle wrestle with them. He loved all his cousins and aunts and uncles and parents and grandparents

He was the perfect boy, if ever there was one. Nehemiah was a talented piano player. He was very smart and enjoyed school. He had so many friends from school, and his favorite thing was to hang out with them or to play video games with them. Nehemiah had big plans and dreams. He wanted everyone to know and love Jesus like he does. He wanted to help other children with cancer. No matter what he was going through he would often tell me how thankful he was and how blessed he was.

When Nehemiah was just three years old, he learned the gospel and the Christian’s charge to go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation, and he asked his momma “if we are supposed to tell people about Jesus, why aren’t we doing that lots of days?”

If for our sake, Nehemiah momentarily came back to comfort us, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt part of what he’d say would be: The Bible is true. Every single word. Jesus is Lord and God raised Jesus from the dead. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved.

Won’t you choose today to love the Lord as He so loves you?” Nehemiah kept the faith even through unfathomable pain.

On June 26, 2024, at the age of 14 years, 11 months, and 14 days, Nehemiah entered his forever home and met his best friend, Jesus, face to face. Nehemiah fought a

good fight. He finished his

course. He kept the faith.

There was a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge, gave him at that day. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
